INTRODUCTION:
 
Thom Keith has been creating, writing, producing and directing motion pictures and television product since 1965 for a variety of studios, production companies, advertising agencies, media groups, national advertisers, government agencies, broadcast groups and cable TV networks.  Genres include drama, comedy, sports, musical variety, educational, commercials, infomercials, documentaries, industrials, game shows, news, political programs, children’s shows, TV Pilots, music videos and television specials throughout North America, Europe and Asia.  His credits include more than 6,000 hours of television programming, nearly 1,500 TV commercials and six motion pictures.
 
 
CURRENTLY:
 
Keith relocated his production headquarters to Las Vegas from Hollywood in 1997 and began developing programming for local TV stations as well as national syndication.  Currently he produces and directs six popular TV shows in the Las Vegas market: IMPACT NEWS, REAL AMERICANS and BEST OF YOUR LIFE for KEEN –TV, Channel 17 (and the worldwide web), BACKSTAGE LIVE and SPORTS CORNER for the Imperial Palace and Metro 48 (syndicated nationally over the American Independent Television Network) and STARRLAND children’s TV series KTVY, Channel 63 and Metro-48.

INNOVATIONS IN TECHNOLOGY:
 
Thom Keith is widely known in the television, video and broadcast fields as an innovator in production, post production, broadcast and interactive technologies.  He has been the subject of hundreds of news stories in trade magazines and on TV talk shows.  “Who’s Who” in California refers to Thom Keith as “The Father of Cable TV Programming”.  Some notable highlights in his career include:
 
1963:  Keith designed and built the first cable television system in California.  Located in Laguna Hills, it was then known as “The worlds largest closed circuit system”.  It included a television station designed and equipped by Keith with innovative technologies, that allowed for the first ever “Cablecasting”.  This event was the first in many that lead eventually to the advent of Cable TV Networks.
 
1965:  Designed and assembled unique switching systems for Cablecasting tasks.  This allowed for original off-air TV Programming to be transmitted live over a cable system.  Founded CATV Channel 6, Laguna Hills.
 
1967:  Designed and built world’s first “Cablecasting” remote production vehicle.   Founded CATV Channel 3, San Clemente.
 
1969:  Founded INTERNET, Inc. an entertainment and technology company dedicated to the development of interactive television technologies and program content.
 
Acted as a special consultant to members of The Congress of the United States under a directive from President Richard M. Nixon to develop CableTV Legislation.
 
Began cablecast from the Capitol in Washington known as “The Congressional Report”.  It was the forerunner to today’s C-Span.
 
1972:  Developed the technology for and directed the first theatrical motion picture shot entirely without film, “The Boob Tube”.  It was also the first motion picture to be edited by computer.
 
1980:  Acted as a consultant to the government of France, Monaco, Sweden, Norway and Germany on Cable Television and Satellite technologies and programming.
 
1983:  Launched the world’s first interactive cable television service, THE GAMES NETWORK.  It was the culmination of 15 years of research and experimentation by Keith.  Many of the concepts and technological innovations developed by Keith and The Games Network during that period lead to the development of the current WEB TV.
 
1989:  Founded TRANSAT, Inc., a company that developed interactive closed circuit television technologies for in-room applications at hotels and motels.  Features included: in room shopping, access to PPV movies, video games, room service, etc.
 
1993:  Developed the VAULT technology for the Lincoln Mint.  Latter known as LMN, LMN Itellectual Properties, WIN-TV, Winco and WINCOM.  Keith’s technologies now expanded interactive television into the transactional arena for a myriad of commercial and in-home applications.
 
1996:  Developed innovative technologies for NVN (New Visions Networks), a broadcast group based in Venezuela with US offices in Miami, Florida.
 
1997:  Developed program deployment scheme for DBS (Direct Broadcast Satellite)  to accommodate local demand for local programs via satellite.  The Home Town News Channel premiered in 1998.
 
1999:  Keith currently operates a state-of-the-art production and webcasting facility in Las Vegas, Nevada known as Knight Studios.
